Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has been a continuous inspiration and the guiding light of HUM mission. He says, “Since time immemorial, the people of the Himalayas have maintained their rich cultural traditions and identity and have conserved agro-biodiversity within the parameters of their own traditional knowledge. But climate change presents threats at a scale and pace previously unknown and we have to work together to ensure that our global asset – The Himalayas – is protected. Protecting the heart of the planet requires more regional cooperation, more consistent, holistic and integrated solutions, more sharing of innovative best practices, and more global attention to the Himalayas.
