Socio Cultural Impact
Key Milestones
Education
In order to inculcate value systems and weave them into modern education, while respecting the edicts of Nature, Art of Living started an alternative education classroom in addition to the existing schools across 6 Himalayan States. With partners like Save the Children ,HUM intends to provide more value based education in Himalayan states of India, Nepal & Bhutan.
Digital Literacy
HUM’s ‘Digital Literacy and Cyber Safety Project’ lies within the framework of ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’. It extends computer education to narrow the digital divide between rural and urban areas. Our curriculum places a strong emphasis on cyber safety. Through regular assessments – baseline, endline, and monthly evaluations – we ensure sustained progress in digital literacy.
Border Village Development Program
At HUM, we firmly believe that villages are a reflection of the culture and true essence of India. HUM has been working closely with border villages in Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand. We have been working in solar electrification of these villages, schools and homes. We have upgraded 109 government school to smart classrooms. From capacity building for Panchayat raj representatives to distributing solar lamps in villages, HUM is positively impacting border villages in India.
