Dr. Richa Chopra

Dr. Richa Chopra, is a Masters in Child Development (Gold Medalist), holds a Doctoral Degree from the Faculty of Arts, Department of Psychology (Gauhati University) along with an Advance Diploma in Psychological Guidance & Counselling. As the Former (Founding) Head of the Dept. of Contemplative and Behavioural Sciences at Sri Sri University, Cuttack (commenced AY 2020-21), she steered the ‘Syllabus creation’ with a team of academicians of international repute for the Undergraduate, Integrated Master and Postgraduate Programmes in ‘Psychology and Contemplative Studies’ (with ‘Consciousness’ as the centrepiece of this kind of study)

She has served as a Core Working Member for the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC, an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission, GOI)  towards developing the ‘Yoga Accreditation Framework’ for Higher Educational Institutions – launched at the UN Headquarters, New York in April 2019 and its subsequent release by the Education Minister, Hon’ble Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ in Sept, 2019.

She recently curated and organized ‘Ātmanirbhara Bhārata: India  in the 21st Century –  a two weeks Faculty Development Programme on Indian Knowledge Systems in Contemporary Education and Practices (Nov 4-19, 2020) in collaboration with CPDHE, UGC-HRDC (University of Delhi), supported by AICTE and ICSSR. FDP_IKS 2020 witnessed 53 eminent speakers from across the world with a participation of 282 teachers from Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) across various disciplines and was inaugurated by GuruDev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Hon’ble Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal,

Being a Sr. Art of Living International Faculty, for 18 years Dr. Chopra has been a catalyst of change in the lives of thousands of people across the world, through the power of Spirituality by teaching various yoga and meditation programs across 11 countries around the world .

She has completely dedicated her life to service and the revival and promotion of IKTP especially in the domains of ‘Mind and Consciousness Studies’ through active scholarship, research and extension activities.
